Alexis & Coleman
Alexis and Coleman together might be the cutest thing ever. They were high school sweethearts, and after Coleman surprised Alexis in New York City's Central Park with a proposal, they couldn't wait to start planning their fall wedding!
When we first met with Alexis, she envisioned a contemporary play on a traditional fall design, and we think her wedding was just that! The traditional fall design elements, like pumpkins and wood tones, were given a contemporary touch through a black, white and burgundy color scheme, gold accents, and centerpieces with greenery popping through hollow, geometric shapes.
One of our favorite elements at the reception, was the giant, hand-cut, wooden "Phelps" piece that adorned our kitchen cover. It, not only was a cool focal point decor-wise, but also gave the couple something they could adorn their home with.
As you'll see in the photos, Coleman is quite tall. As a cute gesture at the end of the wedding ceremony, Alexis's little brother (who was also the "Ring Security") brought out a step stool that her grandfather hand-made to allow Alexis to get a little bit closer for their first kiss as husband and wife. It was just adorable!
